I am often asked what I carry in my bag. Well here is a good look at the majority of what I use on a regular basis. As for what goes in my bag it really depends on the shoot and situation. But these are the pieces of equipment that get the most use. I did not include anything that I use in studio or large lighting setups. Although all my large setups are portable. I believe 100% in the fold-able soft-boxes, be it a giant octagonal soft box or the like. It is kinda the nature of New York City to be able to pick up and go on the fly!<\/p>\n

General Gear:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Canon 5D Mark II<\/li>\n
Multiple steady mounts for my camera, including a shoulder mount, monopod, tripod, and hand held mount.<\/li>\n
Batteries, Canon and\u00a0Envelop Batteries<\/li>\n
Lenses (detailed below)<\/li>\n
Lowerpro bag(I like a small bag that can hold a lot)<\/li>\n
Neewer reflector gold silver and diffusion<\/li>\n
My Go Pro 3+ Black and Chestie Strap for Behind the Scenes<\/li>\n
Otterbox to hold all GoPro Accesories and housings.<\/li>\n
2 Canon Speedlights(detailed below)<\/li>\n
Audio Equipment(detailed below)<\/li>\n
Flashlight<\/li>\n
Capture cards(detailed below)<\/li>\n
iPhone stabilizers and tripod attachments<\/li>\n

Canon 70-200mm f2.8 II IS L lens (white)<\/li>\n
24-70mm f2.8 L Lens (right)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Followed closely by my<\/p>\n

50mm f1.4 Prime<\/li>\n
and for special occasions 17-40mm f4.0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The other lenses I usually rent are the 82mm f1.2 Prime and a Fisheye lens for very specific uses.<\/p>\n

And Batteries of course, but also my capture cards. I Love Lexar. They are a very reliable and fast card. When I am shooting and need to see immediate results I will sometimes go with my Eye-Fi card which can transmit wirelessly to my laptop or iPad for immediate viewing. The smaller cards are just there in case something goes wrong.<\/p>\n
I use the Kingston USB 3 card reader to upload all my footage it is fast and has a great light up logo to tell you it is working.<\/p>\n

The Canon Speedlight 430EX for my secondary<\/li>\n
The Canon 580 EXII speedlight for my main (a soft shell to diffuse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Some people swear by pocket wizards and if it were in my budget, I would too, but for a fraction of the cost, and yet to fail me to this day:<\/p>\n

Zoom H1 with a Lav mic attachment<\/li>\n
A Rode Mic for the run and gun scenarios although it is very rare I use it, a little too tin sounding for my likes(with wind buffer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Oh and of course my hand RedLine flashlight. This can be used with any reflector or directly on a subject for some beautiful dramatic effects.<\/p>\n
